English My Poems

Himalayan Wilderness

I am not a hermit
Nor am I ascetic-sanyasi
But wished to feel
The moment of life
Of those secluded souls……..

So, once I went wandering
To higher ridges of Himalayas
Utmost pious Gomukh
At an altitude 4023 meters……

It was a chilling early
Morning with Sub-zero
Seventeen degrees Celsius
Frozen all along
Everything Flora & fauna……..

I walked through fearless
Trembling and shivering,
The thick tall woods with a
Intense desire to reach
A pious origin of Mother Ganga
Originating from Gomukh,
All Purifying Bharatiyas……….

That day I got up at
Brahm-Muhurt
That is early 3.30 a.m.
And went mustering all
The courage, I can,
To experience the Ablution……..

It was Himalayan glacier
Thick and white,
Refracting and reflecting
The powerful sunrays
All across the frozen
Glacier………

I dipped in the chilled frozen
Water to shiver and quiver,
But when I came up,
Ah! I could not believe
My eyes to see that
Mesmerized pleasing
Glittering Golden rain……

It was purer than gold
And brighter than brightest
Million Suns lights
Shining at a time………..

My mind suddenly deep dived In Rig-Veda and recapitulated
Retrieved the most sacred
Hiranygarbh Sukta………..

Indescribable, Encrypted
Magnanimous, Mesmerising,
Impromptu the sermon for
Life giver of our Cosmos……

My heart automatically
Started chanting,

यस्येमे हिमवन्तो महित्वा यस्य,
समुद्रं रसया सहाहु: यस्येमा: |
परदिशो यस्य बाहू कस्मै,
देवाय हविषाविधेम ||| ऋग्वेद -१०.१२१.४||
